General Terms and Conditions (GTC) ETH Store
1. scope of application
The ETH Store is an organizational unit of ETH Zurich (hereinafter: ETH). These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all purchase transactions in the ETH Store (on site or online).
By concluding the purchase contract, the customer accepts the GTC in the version valid at that time.
2. conclusion of contract
A contract between ETH and the customer is concluded by purchase on site (ETH Store Zentrum or ETH Store Hönggerberg) or by confirmation by the ETH Store of an order placed on the ETH Store website.
Before sending the order, the customer has the opportunity to check all entries and correct them if necessary. Subsequent adjustments or changes to the order after it has been sent are only possible with the express consent of ETH.
3. prices and terms of payment
All prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and include VAT. The purchase price is due immediately after conclusion of the contract. Payment can only be made electronically.
Any shipping costs will be shown separately during the ordering process.
Promotions and discounts cannot be cumulated unless this is explicitly stated.
4. delivery and shipping
Delivery shall be made to the address specified by the customer. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery shall be made exclusively within Switzerland or Liechtenstein. The delivery times are non-binding.
If a delivery cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address, the customer shall bear the return costs incurred.
Delivery is free of charge from an order value of CHF 50.
5. return
The customer has the right to return the purchased goods within 14 days (from the date of purchase in the store or from the date of dispatch in the case of postal delivery).
Returns are only possible if the product is in perfect condition. Personalized goods cannot be returned unless there is a clear defect.
Returns can be made in the store or by post (within 14 days). Returns are only possible with a receipt or invoice. Returns to the store are free of charge; in the case of returns by post, the customer bears the shipping costs. In the case of a return by post, the customer must notify the return in writing by e-mail or letter (including receipt or invoice). The products must be returned to the following address with the delivery bill (or receipt or invoice) included with the order:

Upon receipt of the goods, ETH will check that they are in perfect condition and, if necessary, decide on a refund. The refund will be made using the same means of payment that was used for the order. If the payment method selected when the order was placed is no longer available, the customer will receive the order amount in the form of a voucher.
6 Warranty and liability
The statutory warranty provisions apply.
ETH shall only be liable for damages caused by an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by ETH, its legal representatives or vicarious agents. Liability for indirect or consequential damages is excluded.

8. final provisions
Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The parties undertake to find a provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid clause.
In the event of disputes in connection with these GTC, Swiss law shall apply exclusively, to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the standards of private international law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
9. theft
In the event of theft in the store, the police will be notified in all cases and a lump sum of CHF 150 will be charged.
